- lyrics
- airplanes fly above
i look up to find them gone
and the heavens open up
pouring rivers upon the ground
and the fortune cooking was lying
when it said things were looking up
cos it doesn't look so on my end
it's neither cozy nor rosy
it's a zigzag parade
all the streets are full of rain
i'm a tourist in my skin
with no sense of where i've been
and if the sun dripped from my lips
i'd break my nose to catch it
like the fool i am
maybe these thoughts are the planes
that would explain where they've gone
and maybe the rain is a metaphor
for the conscious will of god
and the fortune cooking is meaningless
without a satisfied mind
and that's why the notions and feelings i get
are neither cozy nor rosy
it's a zigzag parade
all the streets are full of rain
i'm a tourist in my skin
with no sense of where i've been
and if the sun dripped from my lips
i'd break my nose to catch it
like the fool i am
